How it all began
The History of Sweet and Sassy
We are Tom and Cheryl Willhoit, we are the owners of Sweet and Sassy Shoppe. We love what we do and more than anything we love doing it together. We believe everyone is creative and created to be so by the Creator himself.
We are a home décor store that specializes in original exclusively repurposed furniture with Chalk Paint, we feature painted and unpainted furniture for you to choose from as well as custom paint your furniture for you. The ability to take something discarded and make it beautiful is a gift.
Having very little extra money for new furniture I began painting furniture in our garage for my home and that lead to painting for friends and family, it quickly became a business and I eventually began selling paint, and have now expanded to our Brick and Mortar store in my home town of Madisonville, TN.
We truly love our customers and realize that without your support we would not be here.

Being creative and painting inspires and relaxes her. With over 20 years of custom painting experience, Cheryl enjoys transforming something ugly to beautiful. She also loves her customers and uses her interior decorating skills to help them see what their homes could be. On the side, Cheryl is also a bookkeeper.
Tom is often behind the scenes fixing furniture to paint, running the store when Cheryl is antiquing. He is also the sassy one willing to greet all who enter the store. He is a woodworker of many years and owned a woodworking store in Cleveland, TN. That is where Tom and Cheryl met.
A young entrepreneur helping to run the store. She is in charge of all the jewelry in the store. Taylor is a full-time college student willing to help customers with all their decor needs.

Our Mural was painted by a local artist Talitha Shell, it reflects our store perfectly. It is fun, beautiful and has many layers!
The Front Porch
Our front porch is a model built by a good friend, it looks like the home that owner Cheryl grew up in and she has very fond memories of her Grandmother.
